Hearts Apart Program Is your spouse deployed, on a remote tour or extended TDY? Then this program’s for you! The Family Readiness program has customized services just for you! Whether you’re Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy or Coast Guard, the Luke AFRC is Phoenix’s answer to waiting families and spouses. Check out what we have to offer - one stop for all your needs. Fun events, such as pool parties, ice skating, bowling and picnics are held monthly. Register today! Communicating With Your Spouse Morale Calls FREE PHONE CALLS? That’s right, you call your spouse from home using DSN 2 times a week for 15 minutes each M-F 7:pm - 7:am; all day weekends & holidays! This program is also available to the parents of single members via the closest military installation to their home. A copy of TDY orders are required for program registration and pin activations. Please schedule an appointment with the Readiness NCO at the Airman & Family Readiness Flight. $20 Phone Cards The AFAS provides one $20 phone card to all military members deploying. Operation KIDS Kids of reserve, civilians, foreign nationals, navy, army, retired or those associated with Luke find out what a military member goes through when they leave home for that AEF, OEF, or other TDY/deployment tasking. Look for more about Operation KIDS in early Fall 2010.
Military & Family Life Consultant A Military and Family Life Consultant is available to offer assistance in building effective communication skills, stress reduction, and help with coping with deployments before, during and after. Meetings can take place at the Airman and Family Readiness Center, or anywhere on or off base, except for private residences. The consultant is a Masters-level licensed clinician, screened and familiar with Air Force culture and issues.
