Tuition Assistance Come to the Education Center to find out how to apply for tuition assistance, program requirements, and how tuition assistance can be a useful tool in helping you attain your educational goals.
Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) The Education Center can provide information and counseling to meet your CCAF degree plan requirements.
Testing The Education Center provides scheduled testing for the following programs: Professional Military Education (PME), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Defense Language Aptitude Test (DLAB), Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Public Speaking, United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE) Driver's Licensing, Excelsior exams and college proctored exams by request. Proctored testing sessions are provided on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 0830 and 1330. Please call the Education Center at (623) 856-7722 or x7723 to reserve a seat. The On Base National Testing Center is located at Rio Salado College, third floor of Bldg 1150, room 3138. College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES tests are administered on Tuesdays and Wednesday at 0830 and 1230. Please call (623) 856-3239 to reserve a seat.
Post 9/11 GI Bill Briefings These briefings include information on electing new Veteran's Administration (VA) GI Bill benefits, as well as, how to transfer benefits to your dependents. This election MUST take place PRIOR TO separation/retirement as very often a service committment is required when transferring education benefits to dependents. Commissioning Information The Education Center provides information for enlisted personnel seeking to become commissioned through Officer's Training School (OTS), Air Force Reserve Officer's Training Corps (AFROTC) and the Air Force Academy. Educational Counseling Guidance Counselors are available to discuss your education program needs to enable you to make informed decisions in meeting your educational goals.
Outreach Services Education Center personnel are available to provide briefings within the Luke Air Force Base community, be it a workcenter, group or other venue, upon request. These briefings could include information on CCAF, Tuition Assistance, or VA education benefits, such as the Post 9/11 GI Bill. For more information, call (623) 856-7722 or x7723.
On-Base Colleges The Education Center houses five military friendly on-base colleges with a variety of degree programs available. Both distance learning (DL) and traditional classroom training is offered. The on-base colleges include, Rio Salado College (623) 856-3239, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (623) 856-6471, Park University (623) 856-3243, Wayland Baptist University (623)856-3240 and Webster University (623) 856-9107. These schools are all located on the third floor of Bldg 1150. Call for more information.
