Bundles for Babies
This 1/2 day class educates expecting parents on budgeting, nutrition and infant safety. All active duty Air Force participants receive a free “bundle” of goodies consisting of a blanket, toys, book and other baby items. This class is held once a month at the A&FRC. Call 623-856-6550 to sign up today and prepare yourself for the future.
New Parents Support Program
Description: The thrill of a new baby is one of life's most wonderful and challenging experiences. However, parenthood is the role we are least prepared for. The NPSP's goal is to ease the transition by providing education and support to parents during the pregnancy, birth and up through the first three years of childhood.
Services::
Voluntary program consisting of home visits by family advocacy nurse specialist providing education on pregnancy, baby and toddler care, literature, videos, sibling classes, play group, basic parenting classes, referral to community resources, couples communication skills classes, family counseling, and support groups
Those who could benefit:
Active Duty Families with children 3 years or under; Single parents, with no local support or family, parents of difficult to parent baby or toddler, expectant or new parents needing support, stressed out individuals due to financial or marital issues, those with limited or no knowledge/experience of care for babies, those experiencing frequent TDY's or a remote tour, colicky/ fussy, or high needs baby, parents having discipline problems. Child Development Center
Whether your child is six weeks old or five years of age, the Child Development Center (CDC) provides a quality care program to assist you. Located in Building 1119 on Commissary Road, the CDC accepts children with reservations and on a space-available, drop-in basis. Your child may stay for a few hours or an entire day, on a limited basis. The center also has an active sublet program for parents seeking temporary care. More on the Child Development Center.

Dads 101
Children unfortunately don't come with a book of instructions; Dad's 101 is an informative class taught by volunteer instructors who are also new dad's. Facilitators are trained teachers that can help participants feel more comfortable in their role in handling baby and to prepare for a more rewarding and enjoyable experience as a parent. Love And Logic Parenting Class
This class helps parents learn simple and practical techniques to reduce stress and have fun while raising responsible kids. Love & Logic Parenting teaches parents to determine the type of parenting style they use, techniques that will and will not work with their kids, and great comebacks every parent should know. Give Parents A Break

Funded by the Air Force Aid Society
This is a program for active duty Air Force families who are experiencing stress due to TDY, deployment, remote, or other unique hardships associated with military life. Youth Center
The Youth Center assists active duty personnel and DoD civilians by offering a safe learning environment for youths ages 6 to 18. Located in Building 1143 near Fowler Park, the Youth Center is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs. More on Youth Programs .

The Air Force Aid Society sponsors a program called Youth Employment Skills or YES. It is an on-base volunteer program for high school students at selected bases. Click the following link to learn more about the YES Program.

Family Child Care

Air Force licensed childcare providers (18 years and older) residing on and around the base provide childcare on a part-time or full-time basis. For more information on Family Child Care and an updated monthly list of local providers.
